First of all, the cover artwork is gorgeous. I really love this kind of style, it sets the stage for a certain kind of mood - which is definitively to be found on 'Der Urgewalten Werk'. Cold and melodic black metal of the German school. Short acoustic intro and outro, four long songs (one for each element) in between plus a nice cover. Although some of the riffs are excelling one another (Vom Sturme gepeitscht/Entflammt!), I do like the acoustic pieces the most. David Fischer

Wintergrimm (vocals, guitar) and Hiverfroid (drums) from the band Drengskapur compose absolute top quality melodic black metal; they can easily compare themselves with much bigger acts like Emperor, Dissection (rip) and Satyricon (during the Nemesis Divina era). Some passages make me think of Satyricon's Immortality Passion. Not one bad song detected on the album. 10/10 grote_smurf

A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken
Crushing blackened doom from this German band that counterbalances blinding fury with moments of surprising, melancholy melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 8, 2023

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
